Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and Illinois state tax requirements
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly and annual audits
- Implement process improvements for financial data accuracy
- Train junior bookkeepers on software and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification (preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Deep understanding of GAAP and Illinois tax codes
- Proven ability to manage multi-entity portfolios
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
