Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small to medium-sized businesses
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement QuickBooks solutions for clients with industry-specific needs
- Coordinate with CPAs during tax season and audits
- Maintain organized digital financial records using Xero and Excel
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Proven expertise in multi-entity accounting systems
- Strong knowledge of Louisiana payroll tax requirements
- Experience with construction or hospitality industry accounting
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AIPB) highly valued
