Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile multi-entity general ledger accounts with precision
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles for 15+ diverse clients
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Manage sales tax filings and compliance across Texas municipalities
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online for new client onboarding
- Coordinate quarterly audits and year-end tax documentation
- Lead month-end closing processes with strict deadline adherence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in Houston market
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance (TX, LA, OK)
- Proven track record of managing high-volume transaction processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
