Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with monthly accuracy above 99.5%
- Process accounts payable/receivable using QuickBooks Online and Xero platforms
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow)
- Manage sales tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead month-end closing processes with strict deadlines
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly audits and tax seasons
- Implement financial controls to prevent discrepancies
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks/Xero
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios
- QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification required
- Experience with construction or service industry accounting
- Exceptional attention to detail with error rate <0.5%
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
