Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and process vendor/invoice payments
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Assist with payroll processing and tax compliance documentation
- Implement and improve accounting systems and internal controls
- Support annual audits and financial reviews
- Collaborate with CFO on budgeting and forecasting processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting role
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- AAT or equivalent accounting qualification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Experience with cloud-based accounting systems essential
