Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements
- Manage VAT returns and HMRC compliance submissions
- Oversee payroll processing for 50+ employees using Sage 50
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Liaise with auditors during annual financial reviews
- Implement process improvements for financial workflows
Qualifications
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping experience in UK SMEs
- Expert knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience managing client relationships
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
