Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile multi-company general ledger accounts with 99.9% accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and oversee payroll processing for 50+ employees
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online systems for client accounting workflows
- Coordinate annual tax preparation documentation and audit schedules
- Develop financial forecasting models and variance analysis reports
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and Nebraska state tax regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with multi-entity portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (including VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA or certified bookkeeper designation highly valued
- Proven experience with payroll systems (ADP/Paychek preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Strong written communication skills for client reporting
- Nebraska residency required for local client support
