Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures with precision and accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and vendor relationships are maintained.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts weekly to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and generate comprehensive financial reports.
- Assist with payroll processing and support tax preparation filings.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) to maintain organized and digital financial records.
- Communicate financial findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero is required.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and basic federal and state tax regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
