Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank accounts across multiple financial institutions
- Process accounts payable/receivable with meticulous attention to detail
- Generate monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance in accordance with CA regulations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Online, Xero)
- Collaborate with CPAs during audit preparation and tax filing seasons
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with California businesses
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and California tax compliance requirements
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Exceptional analytical skills with 100% accuracy in financial reporting
