- Manage end-to-end billing processes for 500+ patient accounts including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and insurance denials with 95% first-contact resolution rate
- Conduct monthly audits of billing records to ensure accuracy and HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with insurance providers to verify benefits and resolve payment delays
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for executive leadership
- Train junior staff on billing software updates and compliance protocols
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim rejection rates by 15%
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding knowledge
- Proficiency in Epic Resolute or similar EHR billing systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in Virginia Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table experience
