Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and insurance claim denials with 95%+ accuracy
- Conduct monthly audits of billing records to ensure compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Lead training initiatives for junior billing staff on new billing protocols
- Collaborate with collections team to develop strategies for outstanding account balances
- Generate weekly revenue cycle reports for executive leadership
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim denial rates by 15% annually
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with EHR systems (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Revenue Cycle Certification (RCC) required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and billing software (e.g., Athenahealth, NextGen)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex insurance contracts
- Experience managing high-volume billing operations (500+ claims/month)
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
