Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex insurance claim denials through proactive communication with payers and providers
- Analyze billing discrepancies and implement process improvements to reduce AR days
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and commercial payer regulations
- Train junior staff on billing software and regulatory updates
- Generate monthly performance reports for leadership review
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience in a multi-specialty practice
- Expert knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS guidelines
- Proficient in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR billing modules
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials preferred
- Proven track record of reducing claim denial rates by 15%+
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table expertise
- Exceptional problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in high-volume environment
