Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge capture, coding accuracy, and claim submission
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and denials through insurance verification and appeals
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to CMS regulations in all billing activities
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to reduce AR days outstanding
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately for optimal reimbursement
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and system utilization
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expertise in ICD-10/CPT coding and UB-04 form completion
- Proficient in Epic or NextGen EHR billing modules
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and CMS billing regulations
- Strong analytical skills with experience in AR management
- Professional certification (CPB, CPC) preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities
