Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for medical insurance claims and patient accounts
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through strategic appeals and documentation
- Collaborate with insurance providers to verify coverage and secure timely payments
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and Texas state billing regulations
- Generate monthly revenue reports and analyze billing performance metrics
- Train junior staff on billing systems and compliance protocols
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim rejection rates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in Epic, Medisoft, or similar EHR billing platforms
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proven ability to resolve complex insurance claim denials
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
