Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including claim submission, payment posting, and account reconciliation
- Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies with insurance providers and patients
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and state billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify documentation accuracy and coding integrity
- Generate monthly financial reports and performance metrics for leadership
- Train junior staff on billing processes and system utilization
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim denials by 15% annually
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claims
- Proficiency in Epic, Meditech, or similar EHR systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for patient and insurer interactions
- Experience with RCM analytics tools like Waystar or Change Healthcare
