Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient inquiries with exceptional communication skills
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to reduce AR days
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify insurance eligibility and authorization status
- Generate monthly billing reports for leadership review
- Train staff on billing system updates and policy changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, Cerner, or similar EHR billing modules
- Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) or CPC credential preferred
- Advanced knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and UB-04 forms
- Expertise in handling complex insurance claims and denials
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical precision
