Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes including charge entry, claims submission, and payment posting
- Analyze and resolve complex billing discrepancies with insurance carriers and patients
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Generate monthly billing reports and KPI dashboards for leadership review
- Train junior billing staff on coding best practices and system workflows
- Collaborate with clinical departments to document services accurately
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim denials by 15% annually
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with focus on commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EMR and eClinicalWorks billing modules
- Proven ability to resolve 95%+ of first-level claim denials
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
