Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through insurance follow-ups and patient account reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document chargeable services accurately
- Train staff on billing protocols and system updates
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports for leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR platforms
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Advanced knowledge of UB-04 and CMS-1500 claim forms
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities in denial management
- Experience with AR aging reports and collections
