Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95% accuracy within 48-hour turnaround
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct payer communication and documentation
- Generate monthly revenue reports and analyze aging accounts receivable
- Implement CPT/ICD-10 coding updates to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines
- Train junior staff on billing software protocols and industry regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify patient eligibility and coverage details
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or comparable RCM systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, EMTALA, and ACA compliance requirements
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Proven track record of reducing AR days by 15%+ in previous roles
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Accounting required
