Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for 200+ healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Optimize charge capture and claim submission workflows using Epic EHR and NextGen systems
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through direct payer negotiations and root cause analysis
- Lead month-end closing procedures and generate detailed revenue cycle analytics
- Mentor junior billing specialists and implement process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding alignment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle management experience with strong focus on billing/collections
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding, UB-04 forms, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement rules
- Advanced proficiency in billing software (e.g., Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks) and Excel
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify trends and recommend solutions
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and payer negotiations
