Responsibilities
- Process complex transactions including deposits, withdrawals, wire transfers, and currency exchanges
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding account balances, fees, and banking products
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for loans, credit cards, and investment services
- Maintain strict compliance with federal banking regulations and security protocols
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transaction reports
- Train junior tellers on operational procedures and customer service standards
- Collaborate with branch managers to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in retail banking or cash handling
- Proven ability to maintain 100% cash drawer accuracy
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations (Reg CC, Reg E, BSA)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in core banking software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Associates degree in Finance or Business preferred
- Notary public certification highly desirable
