Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Credit Analysis: Evaluate loan applications and credit requests by rigorously analyzing financial statements, cash flow projections, and collateral value.
- Assess Risk: Determine the creditworthiness of new and existing clients using established credit scoring models and internal risk assessment frameworks.
- Financial Modeling: Build complex financial models to forecast borrower performance under various economic scenarios and stress-test portfolios.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of the loan portfolio and identify early warning signs of delinquency or default.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure all credit decisions align with company policies, regulatory standards, and lending guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with sales and underwriting teams to provide insights and strategic recommendations.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for executive review and board presentations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or risk management within the financial services sector.
- Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel (advanced functions), and credit risk software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, FICO, SAS).
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable, strategic insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data verification, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of banking regulations and consumer protection laws.
