Responsibilities
- Invoice Management: Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying coding, terms, and approvals to ensure timely payment.
- Vendor Relations: Act as the primary liaison for vendors, resolving discrepancies, answering inquiries, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to maintain data integrity.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline AP workflows, reduce errors, and improve turnaround times.
- Compliance & Controls: Adhere to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements regarding expense reporting and disbursements.
- Reporting: Assist in month-end close processes, including accruals and adjusting entries, providing necessary documentation to auditors.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to spot errors and maintain high standards of accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Tools: Proficiency with document management systems and electronic payment platforms (e.g., ACH, wire transfers).
