Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes including invoice verification, coding, and payment scheduling
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with proactive communication
- Implement process improvements to reduce processing time by 20%+ quarterly
- Collaborate with procurement and treasury teams on payment terms optimization
- Conduct month-end closing activities with journal entries and reconciliations
- Maintain compliance with SOX controls and internal audit requirements
- Train junior AP staff on system protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience in corporate environments
- Advanced proficiency in SAP/Oracle ERP systems and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of process optimization and cost reduction initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Experience managing vendor relationships and resolving payment disputes
- SOX compliance knowledge and internal audit experience
