Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit recommendations and risk mitigation strategies for senior management review
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with commercial lending teams to structure optimal financing solutions
- Ensure strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory compliance (FDIC, OCC)
- Develop and maintain robust credit risk models using advanced Excel and financial software
- Present findings to credit committees and executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, credit scoring models, and risk assessment frameworks
- Experience with credit reporting platforms (e.g., Moody's, Equifax, FICO)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Professional certification (CRCM, CMB, or FRM) highly desirable
