Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes including invoice verification, coding, and payment scheduling
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Optimize payment cycles using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Collaborate with procurement and treasury teams on vendor management strategies
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Lead month-end closing activities for AP sub-ledger
- Train and mentor junior AP staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Accounts Payable Certification (APC) preferred
- Expertise in 3-way matching and invoice auditing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing high-volume transaction processing (1000+ invoices/month)
- Knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance requirements
