Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and ensure all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
- Tax Preparation Support: Gather necessary documentation and work closely with accountants during tax season.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to input data and generate reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Excel (Advanced functions). Familiarity with accounting software is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Reliability: Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a remote setting.
