- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies within 48 hours
- Optimize ERP system utilization for AP processes (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
- Coordinate month-end closing activities and support financial reporting
- Implement process improvements to reduce processing time by 20%
- Ensure SOX compliance and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Train junior AP staff on best practices and system navigation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and ERP systems
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAP) designation preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience in high-volume transaction processing (>500 invoices/month)
- Proven ability to cross-train in accounts receivable
