We are looking for a highly organized Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join the finance team at Apex Logistics Solutions. As a key player in our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting month-end close activities. Responsibilities
- Review and process high volumes of invoices for accuracy, compliance, and coding.
- Perform three-way matching of Purchase Orders, Receiving Reports, and Invoices to prevent duplicate payments.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and communicate effectively with vendors to resolve payment issues.
- Manage the vendor master file, ensuring accurate tax IDs and banking information.
- Reconcile AP sub-ledger accounts and assist with the month-end closing process.
- Prepare and process payments via ACH and checks.
- Generate and analyze AP reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control policies.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
