As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health, ensuring accuracy in our ledgers, and providing insights to our leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure all vendor and client obligations are met on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets, for management review.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in the processing and payroll tax filings for a small team of employees.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are recorded correctly.
- Compliance: Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm environment.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of QuickBooks Online and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are mandatory.
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Certification: AAT or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure high-quality data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
