Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are posted correctly and reconciliations are completed daily.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance internal controls.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in external audits and ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Payroll Oversight: Collaborate with the HR department to ensure payroll processing is accurate and timely.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with external auditors and tax agencies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), QuickBooks, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in high-pressure environments.
