Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Manage VAT returns and ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Process weekly payroll and ensure all timesheets and deductions are accurate.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end audit files and tax computations.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support business decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely settlements.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role within the UK.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax laws, including Corporation Tax and Income Tax.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
