Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and general ledger reconciliation
- Oversee payroll processing for 100+ employees
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance
- Develop financial forecasting models and budget reports
- Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews
- Maintain compliance with state and federal tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Illinois tax codes
- Experience managing multi-state payroll systems
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
