Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial records.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring invoices are paid accurately and revenue is recorded promptly.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal processes, budgeting, and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies in financial data.
- Ability to meet weekly payroll and reporting deadlines consistently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
