Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct audits of financial records to ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing requirements for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
