About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial data, preparing complex financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a pivotal role for someone looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced finance environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Lead internal and external audit requests, coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active CPA certification or CPA candidacy is highly preferred.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
