Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register and conduct periodic audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
