Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow management
- Lead tax compliance initiatives including sales tax filings and quarterly estimated payments
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Enterprise preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate accounting
- Expertise in GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and process improvement
- Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
