Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting processes including month-end closes and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable with weekly payment processing
- Prepare statutory accounts and VAT returns compliant with UK GAAP
- Lead financial audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement budget forecasting models
- Mentor junior accountants using Xero and QuickBooks platforms
- Analyze financial trends and provide strategic insights to leadership
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in public practice or corporate accounting
- Expertise in UK tax legislation and HMRC compliance
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, and SAP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
