Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for corporate clients
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state-specific regulations
- Lead internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial forecasting
- Maintain accurate client accounting records in QuickBooks Online
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Experience with multi-state compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Virginia-based accounting license (or ability to obtain immediately)
