As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our financial reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and support the external audit process.
- Review and approve accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff and interns on financial processes.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency in the accounting department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
