Job Overview:
As our Weekend Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of our organization. You will manage the closing of monthly books, reconcile accounts, and provide analytical support to leadership. This role requires a high level of accuracy and the ability to thrive independently during the weekend shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures with precision and adherence to deadlines.
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable reconciliation processes.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct internal audits of financial records and internal controls.
- Process payroll for weekend staff and resolve any payroll discrepancies efficiently.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow and budget forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
