Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle accounting tasks including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manage weekend-specific accounts payable/receivable processing and vendor communications
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and file quarterly sales/use tax returns and regulatory compliance documents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and expense analysis
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation
- Implement process enhancements for weekend accounting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with weekend shift exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- CPA or active pursuit preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in multi-state tax compliance (CA/TX focus)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
