Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely payment cycles
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial process improvements
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables), and ERP systems
- Proven ability to manage month-end close and financial reporting deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit preparation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-finance stakeholders
