Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closing, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor relationship management
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead internal audit initiatives and process improvement projects
- Collaborate with executive team on strategic financial planning and forecasting
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance and auditing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Experience in manufacturing or financial services industry preferred
