Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or variances.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and accurately.
- Support the tax department with preparation of local, state, and federal tax filings.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities as required by senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliation, and general ledger functions.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.
