Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budget forecasts for executive review.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and inter-company accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns in compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate status is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
