Responsibilities
- Manage daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform accurate bank reconciliations and monthly financial close procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and forecasting support.
- Maintain and update the company's general ledger and fixed asset registers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in accounting or financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
