Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and expense analysis to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual review process.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and recommendations for cost reduction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid or on-site office environment in Atlanta, GA.
