Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct monthly financial reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and improve profitability.
- Support the internal audit process by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor the annual budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
